West Grey Photo Contest Exhibition March 27 - May, 15, 2010 During 2009, the Municipality of West Grey held a photo contest to showcase our municipality. In January, a jury comprising West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles, CAO Christine Robinson and DAG Executive Director Ilse Gassinger selected three winners in each of the four categories: community events, farming, family fun and ‘nestled in nature’. In addition to being shown at the Durham Art Gallery, winning photos from the contest will be featured in the West Grey promotional publication ads in the upcoming Saugeen Country Tourism Guide and The Grey Bruce Escape Guide. Some of the photos submitted will also be featured at the Canada Blooms event in the Neustadt Display Area. The Durham Art Gallery would like to congratulate winners Kevin Chalmers, Melissa Chiarot and Marilyn Rivest (Community Events Category); Ann Weltz-MacPherson, Cath Dalton and Tiffany Tersteege (Family Fun Category); Ev Howe, Dennis Fischer and Eunice Henning (Farming/Agriculture Category); Deanna Schachinger, Donna McGarrity and Lori Weber (Nestled in Nature Category). A special reception for the contest winners and participants will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 1 to 2pm at the Gallery. Mayor Kevin Eccles will formally open the exhibition.
