Debbie Schenk : Surfacing

The
exhibition of Debbie Schenk reviews the paintings that have
developed over the last three years. This period of time reflects a renewed passion that initially developed and grew during her years as a student in Toronto at the Ontario College of Art.
Schenk’s desire is to explore the language and process of paint and colour. Whether the impetus germinates from figure studies or the abstract form of gesture on canvas, the result is a body of work in the process of discovery and growth, personal and universal, a journey of meaning and consideration.
