Astrid Weyman
Visions
February 7 - March 11  2001

Astrid Weyman was born in Toronto and now lives in Eugenia. Visions will exhibit her paintings that use the landscape as a point of departure for her playful, intuitive images. Weyman has employed watercolour, acrylic, conté, charcoal and oil paste in these works.

Unfolding
Transcendence
She has an Honour B.A. in Art History from the University of Toronto and subsequent scholarships took her to Scuola Delle Belle Arti in Florence and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinema in Rome. Life after scholarship was mostly dedicated to costume design and film editing. A recent series of workshops in multi-media painting given by James Paget of Collingwood helped to bring her private vision into focus. Her diverse talents have been fused into painting for five years now.
