Wedding Dresses

wedding dress detail Guest curator Donna Clark takes an historical look at the wedding dress in rural Canadian culture from the turn of the century to present day, addressing fashion and socio-political concerns.
The traditional wedding dress has not dramatically changed in style over the last hundred years. Fashions come and go and yet the wedding dress maintains a particular style of presentation that follows a long standing code of design signifying the romantic and formal nature of the occasion.
